Some of the best ideas don’t start as ideas at all—they start as small frustrations that keep showing up.
For us, it was the same thing every time we anchored in a cove. We’d be out on the water at Lake of the Ozarks with family and friends, finally settled in and enjoying the day. Then, without fail, something would drift.
A float. A saddle. Sometimes even someone who didn’t realize how far they’d moved.
At first, it didn’t seem like a big deal. But after a few hours of sending people out to grab things (or calling for kids to stay closer to the group) it became clear there wasn’t a simple way to create a reliable floating swim area around the boat.
That’s where the idea started: a floating barrier for boats that could keep everything in place without changing how people already spend their time on the water.

We weren’t trying to reinvent anything—we just wanted something that worked.
The goal was to create a floating barrier that could attach to a boat or dock, form a natural boundary in calm water, and stay out of the way while you enjoy the day. No pumps, no complicated setup, and nothing that felt like extra work.
Something you could bring along every time, use without thinking about it, and pack away just as easily.
That idea became the Cove Corral.

It’s not meant for rough water or heavy current. It’s built for anchored hangouts, swim breaks, and long lazy summer afternoons where everyone ends up in the water. In those moments, having a defined floating swim area makes a noticeable difference. Things stay closer. The group feels more connected. The day flows better.
And if you’ve got kids in the water, you feel it even more. Instead of constantly checking how far they’ve drifted (or needing to remind them to stay close every few minutes) you can relax a bit knowing they've got a clearly defined boundary.

Every Cove Corral is assembled in Shelby, Iowa, with components sourced from the United States and Canada. Keeping production close to home allows us to stay hands-on with quality and build something we’re proud to use ourselves.
This isn’t mass-produced gear with no connection to the people behind it. It’s something we built because we needed it—and kept improving because we use it.
